
Biologists want to learn more about the fly, so they wrote memories into the cells of a fruit fly's brain. It was written by a shinning light of the fly's brain. The goal was to learn how learning in general works. Also, to They used a fly because it's genes can be easily manipulated easily. With the help of licorice and tennis shoes odors, the team is now able to understand more about the fly's learning system. But, when they go to a fly expert, thay learn that there are still many missing parts to the puzzle. Even though they only discovered a little, I think it was really cool how thy wrote memory into the fly, like onto a computer!

Rewriting memories is really cool. A question: How did they use the licorice and tennis shoe odors? Maybe in the future, cops will have devices that can delete certain memories or habits that criminals have, like breaking into stores, a habit kleptomaniacs (People with an obsession for stealing) might have.
